Campaign Overview
This is a Pathfinder campaign and will follow the core rules as printed except as set forth below. Content from any source other than the Core Rulebook is presumptively approved for play, but may be disallowed by the DM without prior notice.
Pre-Generated Player Characters
Each player will be playing one of four pre-generated characters. The character's equipment and daily spells prepared are the player's to control, but all other development (class levels, skill ranks, feats, etc.) have been predetermined.
Known Errors
__In some cases, the pre-generated stat block includes errors. (For example, the 4th-level version of Lini the gnome druid shows that she has four 2nd-level spells prepared: barkskin, bull's strength, flaming sphere and spider climb...even though she is correctly able to prepare only three 2nd-level spells per day.)
__In such cases, the error will be allowed to stand as is, but if the player makes any changes to the pre-generated stat block, those changes must conform to the correct rules. (So, continuing with the example of 4th-level Lini, she would be able to cast four 2nd-level spells per day, but only if those four spells are barkskin, bull's strength, flaming sphere and spider climb [or spontaneous summon nature's ally spells]. If Lini's player elected to prepare different 2nd-level spells instead, Lini would be limited to preparing only three 2nd-level spells that day.)
"Death Penalty"
__Since we will be using pre-generated characters, any player character who is killed will automatically be restored to life at a time determined by the DM with a "death penalty" of 1,000 XP per level at the time of death, but in no case will suffer any actual reduction in level. Some or all equipment may also be lost as a consequence of death (at the DM's discretion).
Player Responsibilities
Alternate Forms
__You must provide stat blocks for any alternate forms (from wild shape, polymorph, etc.) you wish to assume during play. Such stat blocks must be posted in advance to the Other Topics Board.
Summoned Creatures
__You must provide stat blocks for any creatures you wish to summon or otherwise control during play, unless those stats have been published in a Bestiary. Such non-published stat blocks must be posted in advance to the Other Topics Board.
Spells and Magic
Non-Combat Healing Magic
__Outside of combat, any effects that heal, cure or repair damage (including but not limited to casting spells, using magic items, and channeling positive or negative energy) are automatically maximized.
Gaming Etiquette
Table Talk
__Do not engage in "combat conferencing." Your characters may have trained together as a unit, but they do not have the ability to work out extremely detailed strategies in the middle of a battle. Thus, players should not advise each other on any tactics during combat; however, characters can certainly shout out suggestions (using the "free action" rules for speaking). Under no circumstance should other players plot out your strategies for you.
No Party Fratricide
__ Deliberately killing another player's character (even in a campaign that allows for evil alignments) typically leads to resentment amongst gaming colleagues, can easily ruin friendships, and will not be permitted. This should not be interpreted as prohibiting non-lethal player vs. player conflict.
